I have a question about OHNE tampons

What is the ingredients in an OHNE tampon?

100% Organic Cotton. And (literally) nothing else – we’ve got you covered. Companies aren’t required to state what their tampons are made of, but we believe in transparency (and, besides, we’ve got nothing to hide), so our tampons are made of 100% organic cotton. And that’s it.

What’s so special about an OHNE tampon?

Unlike your average tampon brand, OHNE tampons don’t contain synthetic fibres, chemical additives, fragrance, dyes, chlorine bleach, residues of pesticides or herbicides. We’re being loud and proud about providing 100% organic cotton tampons that have a superior leak protection, they’re hypoallergenic, unscented and biodegradable.

What absorbency levels do OHNE tampons offer?

OHNE tampons follow the standard absorbency rules set by the FDA: Light tampons absorb up to 6 grams of liquid, regular 6-9g, super 9-12g, and super+ 12-15g. Choose an absorbency or a mix of everything to get you right through your period.

What applicator tampons does OHNE offer?

OHNE has cardboard applicator tampons which are 100% biodegradable (yes, even the wrapper!) We’re exploring BIO-plastic applicator tampons too – watch this space!

How often should I change my tampon?

The FDA recommends that you change your tampon every 4-8 hours. You should never leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours, and always make sure to use the lightest level of absorbency possible.

Are OHNE products certified organic?

Yes! All OHNE feminine hygiene products are not only GOTS certified, but also certified under the Soil Association too.

Do OHNE tampons contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs)?

Our tampons are 100% organic cotton, and nothing else, which means they’re free of nasties and GMOs!

Where are OHNE tampons made?

OHNE products are made in Europe and packed specifically for you in the UK. Our European partners have been manufacturing feminine products for decades, so they know their stuff.

Can I flush OHNE tampons?

While OHNE tampons are biodegradable, we do not recommend flushing them as tampons can cause blockages in your plumbing or septic systems.

I have a question about how OHNE subscriptions work

How does my OHNE subscription work?

It’s simple. You tell us the products that you need, the quantities and different absorbencies you require and we’ll put them through your letterbox in time for your period. If you have no idea how many products you need or when your period comes, that’s fine too – we’ll deliver a full regular or super box to you every month. No contracts or small print. Edit, pause, or cancel whenever you like.

If I sign up for a subscription, will my subscription be automatically renewed?

Yes, you’ll automatically be renewed. Visit your subscription preferences in your account to view, pause, edit and cancel your subscription. Send us a quick email at ineedyou@ohne.co or a message on our live chat for any further help.

How does OHNE pricing work?

OHNE products vary in price according to the tampon type but the quantity and variety of absorbencies you choose won’t affect the price – so choose your perfect combo! Oh, and shipping is always on us too!

I have a question about the OHNE referral program

Hey babe, glad you asked. You can get free tampons through our awesome referral programme – yep, you heard that right. Free. Tampons. For every friend you refer to us, you’ll get £5 direct into your OHNE account. Want that dolla? Start spreading the love. I have a question about OHNE how to change or cancel my OHNE subscription

How can I adjust my assortment of products?

Easy! Just visit My Account, ‘View’ your subscription and press the ‘Edit’ button to adjust any of your subscription information, from product type and amount to assortment or delivery dates. If you need any help at all, just shoot us an email at ineedyou@ohne.co or why not catch us on live chat or Facebook messenger!

I didn’t have quite what I needed. Can I change the quantity and absorbencies of tampons in my box?

Absolutely. Simply send us a quick message via live chat, Facebook or email and we’ll sort it for you. Let us know the absorbency amendments within 3 working days of your box being shipped and you’ll have the perfect box for your due delivery. If it’s a very last minute change, we’ll still try and change it if we can! Email us at ineedyou@ohne.co and we’ll see what we can do.

My period is irregular or keeps changing! What do I do?

If your period has a mind of its own and doesn’t like commitment, we can simply deliver every 4 weeks until your period decides on its regular pattern – just let us know what works for you.

I’m going on holiday. Can I change my order delivery date?

Of course! If it’s more than 7 days until your next box is due to be delivered, you can change your next ‘deliver by’ date from the Edit screen. If it’s within 7 days, shoot us a quick message via live chat, Facebook or email (at least 3 days before the delivery date is due) and we’ll change it for you. Have a fantastic holiday. Can we come?

I won't be needing OHNE products for a little while. How do I put my subscription on hold?

No problem. Simply log onto My Account and you’ll be able to view your subscriptions. Here you can pause (or un-pause!) your box up to 7 days before your next ship date. Pause for up to 3 months, and simply unpause to get back on track. If you need your delivery dates amended just shoot us a message.

Can I have additional tampons to give to friends?

Of course! Email ineedyou@ohne.co and we’ll put some extras in your box. We know that our friends love OHNE too, so we’re working on a ‘refer a friend’ scheme – watch this space!

What is your cancellation policy?

We’ll be sorry to see you go, but we don’t have any contracts. You can cancel anytime before your subscription renewal date, free of charge. If you cancel after your renewal date, you’ll have one last box and then your subscription will automatically end – but you’ll always be welcome back!

How do I choose my delivery dates?

In the checkout stage, just tell us when your next period is due and how often it comes. We’ll take it from there. If you have no idea, that’s no problem, we’ll just deliver monthly and if you want to change it at any point, go ahead. It’s free and easy. And don’t sweat, you don’t need to be in – our boxes will go straight through your letterbox.

Where do you ship?

We currently only ship within the UK. Watch this space though…we’ll be shipping to other locations soon!

Is shipping free?

Yes, shipping with any standard box is always on us! The only tiny exception to this is if you have a coupon code for a free box, then you only pay shipping.

Do you do next day delivery?

We don’t offer next day delivery (yet) but if you need your box urgently just hit us up on our customer service chat, or ping us an email – we’ll do our absolute best to get your products out to you as quickly as is physically possible (no charge!). Good news is we’ll take over the planning from here – so next month your box will be with you before you need it.

How do you ship OHNE subscriptions?

Our boxes come through the post with Royal Mail. Our largest box size fits through most standard UK letterboxes. If you have a particularly tiny letter box then the post lady (or gent) may knock, leave it in your safe place or deliver on an alternative date. Our delivery envelopes are pretty non-descript (just in case you don’t want to tell the office you’re on).

Where can I track my order?

Each order has a specific tracking number that you’ll be emailed after your order ships. If you no longer have access to that email, you can request your tracking information by emailing us at ineedyou@ohne.co

My shipment hasn't arrived or it arrived damaged. What should I do?

Please email ineedyou@ohne.co and we’ll get things sorted out for you.

My tracking information says my order was delivered but I can’t find it. What do I do?

That’s annoying. Sometimes Royal Mail deliver to neighbours, leave parcels in your requested ‘safe place’ or leave a failed delivery note. If your OHNE box is nowhere to be seen, send us an email at ineedyou@ohne.co and we’ll make sure you get your products.

I have a question about paying for my box and OHNE’s refund policy

When is my credit or debit card charged?

We charge your card when you place your first order. For your next boxes, the subscription renewal (and payment date) is 10 days before your requested delivery date. This gives us time to make sure you’ve got everything you need in time for your period.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For international cards, simply add the international billing address you’d like to use to your profile and a UK address for shipping. We don’t ship internationally… yet!

My payment didn’t go through. What should I do?

That’s annoying. Send us message via live chat or Facebook or an email at ineedyou@ohne.co and we’ll try to sort it out together.

How do I update my billing address or card on file?

Simply visit your profile in My Account and adjust your billing address or preferred method of payment.

I'm unhappy with the product. Can I return my order for a refund?

We love our products and we think you will too, but we understand that relationships don’t always work out. However, given the intimate nature of our products, we cannot accept returns.

What is your cancellation policy?

My payment method is PayPal, why do I need to change it?

In the very early days of OHNE we accepted PayPal as a form of subscription payment. We have since retired this as PayPal forces a number of limitations on the way a subscription can be edited. For example, PayPal doesn’t let users change their Tampon Type from Naked to Applicator. They also don’t allow you to adjust your cycle frequency or change your delivery dates. So we encourage anyone still using PayPal to visit My Account and ‘View’ your subscription. Simply press the ‘Change Payment’ button to update your payment method to Credit or Debit card with Stripe. Now you can make the most of our full range of Edit features!

I have a question about the OHNE mission

What is the OHNE mission?

OHNE was born out of a passion for women’s health, an anger at the inequality and irony that sees women in the UK being sold unlabelled, pesticide filled products while women in many parts of the world can’t access any at all; a drive to make a real change to period stigma, and the simple conclusion that we are all in this together.

The fact that there are still young women today who have no idea what’s happening to them when their period first appears, let alone have access to period products, is no longer acceptable in our eyes. That’s why part of our mission is to help change this – join us?

Does the cost of my box include a donation to your mission?

For every month you subscribe to OHNE, we donate to a ‘Girls Programme’ in rural Zambia run by an inspiring NGO called The School Club Zambia.

This programme provides innovative health education to girls in schools in rural Zambia, improves hygiene through the building of new and clean toilet blocks, and helps girls learn how to make re-usable pads and learn to sew. We are working WITH girls to improve their ability to manage their menstruation comfortably, safely, and with dignity. Our vision? A world where girls can do anything, period or no period.

The best bit? Regular donations from your monthly box means a greater & more effective contribution, creating real sustainability for the girls included in the programmes.

Why don’t you donate tampons and pads to girls in developing countries?

Revolutionising period management in low-income areas is about more than just the availability of menstrual health products. It’s about affordability, insufficient information, ongoing social and hygiene taboos, a shortage of clean water and adequate sanitation, as well as waste disposal facilities.

This is why we support an organisation that does more than just distribute disposable menstrual health products….the School Club Zambia uses a unique three-tiered approach to help girls reach their full potential so that they can succeed in their communities. 

Who receives the donated money?

The money is donated directly to the School Club Zambia – and then we show you the cool things they get up to. For us, it’s really important to support a grassroots social enterprise that recognises the need to work in partnership with local communities.
